ACS sponsored Leamington Football Club wins the league and promotion!
THE CHAMPAGNE flowed as did Leamington’s performance as they won the BGB (British Gas Business) Southern League Midland title 2008/09 in style at the New Windmill Ground to book a BGB Premier Division spot – 25 years on since they last played at that level.
This means moving up into Oxford, Cambridge, Bedford, Hemel Hempstead, Rugby, Halesowen et al territory.
It is Leamington’s fifth championship success under manager Jason Cadden since reforming nine years ago. A delighted Cadden said: “It has been another brilliant season.
“Our progress has been amazing since the club was re-formed with everything working really well both on the pitch and in the vital areas off the pitch.”
“We have come a long way in such a short space of time and to win five promotions in nine years is absolutely tremendous for everyone associated with the club.”
With Leamington now welcoming regularly large crowds at the ever improving New Windmill ground and preparing to play in a league they last graced 25 years ago, the future is very exciting.
ACS is a supporter of the club at all levels. In addition to sponsoring the team, we also sponsor the Leamington Lions, a mixed team playing at the Junior level and have just been recognised with the awarding of the FA Community Charter.
Here’s to next season!
